Questions and Answers
How long does the trial last?
A trial membership runs for 14 calendar days. Your card will be charged automatically at the end of the 14 days unless you cancel your membership by using the 'Your Account' link at the top of any page.
I forgot my password -- how do I login?
When you click on any Member Area link or content, you'll see the login page. Use the 'Lost Password?' information at the bottom left corner of the window and enter your email address to retrieve the password.
I am having trouble logging into MasterTheGap.com -- what should I do?
One of the first things you should try, is to clear your browser cookies and cache. Here is a site with instructions:
Clear your browser's cache
I signed up for the LIVE! Trading Room -- what platform do you use and what operating systems does it support?
The LIVE! Trading Room for MasterTheGap.com runs on Omnovia. The preferred browser for the trading room and MasterTheGap.com is Firefox. Current platforms supported are:
* Windows 7
* Windows Vista
* Windows XP (Service Pack 1 and 2)
* Windows 2003
* Windows 2000
* Mac OS X 10.4
How do I access the LIVE! Trading Room?
If you have purchased the Premium Package, you have access to the trading room. After logging into MasterTheGap.com, click on the link under Member Resources and you'll be taken to a page with a link to instructions on how to access the trading room.
How do I get information about my account, change my billing info, or even cancel my membership?
You can manage your account any time by simply logging into MasterTheGap.com. At the top of any page, you'll find a link to 'Your Account'. On this page, you'll be able to update your credit card information, check on transactions and see when your next payment will be charged to your card, place your membership on 'pause', or even cancel if the service is not right for you.
Can I upgrade (or downgrade) my membership?
Yes. Please read this paragraph carefully BEFORE you make a change to your membership. No matter how often we post this, someone always has a question about the charge on their credit card:
When you make a change to your membership (either and upgrade or downgrade), our system charges your credit card IMMEDIATELY for the amount of the new membership plan. If you have paid for time already, the system will take the value of that time remaining on your membership, add it to the amount you were just charged, and calculate when your next renewal date will be. The system does not wait until your next renewal to charge your card -- you are charged because you have immediate access to the new membership plan and content.
If you've read and understood the above paragraph, you can change your membership plan at any time using the 'Your Account' at the top of each page.
What if I cancel and still have time left on my membership?
You'll always have access to the site for all the time you have purchased.
Are membership fees refundable?
No. Once you are charged for a period, MasterTheGap.com does not provide refunds. You can, however, cancel at any time and you will not be billed again, and you'll have access to the site for the balance of any time you have purchased.
When are the Guides posted to the site for the next trading day?
Updated Gap and Price Guides are posted Monday thru Thursday for the next trading day, generally by 8:00 p.m. EST. Guides for Monday's trading are posted by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. First Hour Guides are posted daily by 10:32 pm EST.
Do you send email alerts in the morning before trading begins?
No. We send an email each evening with links to the updated Guides, the Daily Wrap (generally a video), a tip and other probability trading info. Scott posts his pre-market comments at Today's Gap Plays on the site by 9:20 each trading day. Check the site around this time for updates -- remember to refresh your browser.
Can I login to MasterTheGap.com on more than one computer?
No -- not at the same time. Our system tracks and detects multiple logins using the same ID. This is done to protect MasterTheGap.com from anyone trying to 'share' a login ID. While the vast majority of our members are honest traders and investors, there are some they try to break the rules, and this is not fair to everyone.
I accidentally forgot to logout of one computer before logging into MasterTheGap.com on another and it says my account is 'Locked for 24 hours'. Why did this happen?
MasterTheGap.com tracks logins to your ID. When it detects that there are two logins to an ID from different locations, it locks the account. This is done to protect MasterTheGap.com from anyone trying to 'share' a login ID with another user. This is a violation of the terms of service.
What happens if I accidentally login via two computers and my account is locked for 24 hours?
If this happens, please send an email to support@masterthegap.com and request that you account be unlocked. We try to be responsive and unlock your account immediately, but we do not make any guarantee that if you get locked out just before the open, that you'll get access right away. The best way to prevent this is to:
A) Do not login to MasterTheGap.com from multiple computers at the same time,
B) Click on the 'Logout' link at the top of any Member Area page when exiting the site. (Closing your browser is NOT sufficient - you must use the 'Logout' link!)
I have more questions -- where do I go for answers?
It depends on the type of question you have. If it is related to gaps, probabilities, using the Guides, or trading related questions, you'll want to start by visiting our discussion forum. This moderated forum contains a wealth of information and comments not only from MasterTheGap.com, but other traders sharing their experiences. MasterTheGap.com is more than just a membership site -- it is a community of traders helping traders.
